The #VacanzeinItalia travel guide, in collaboration with Lonely Planet, names Macerata as the must-visit destination in the Marche region.
Nestled among gentle hills, Macerata combines the charm of a historic hilltop town with the vibrancy of student life. Its university, founded in 1290, is among the oldest in Europe. The historic centre, with its cobbled streets and honey-coloured palazzi, comes alive each summer during the Macerata Opera Festival.

Applying as an international student
Your journey to Macerata starts with a few simple steps, wherever you're applying from.

If you're a non-EU citizen requiring a student visa, begin your application through UniMC's pre-admission portal at apply.unimc.it. You'll be guided through every step, from choosing your programme and uploading your documents to tracking your application.
